Historic Christianity rooted in God’s Word and centered on Jesus Christ.
The Christian Faith Is About Knowing God
Many people believe in God, attend church occasionally, or have a religious background. Yet many still wonder:
- Can I really know God?
- Is there more to life than this?
- What is the purpose of life?
- Can I be forgiven?
- Is Christianity true?
We believe the answers to these questions are found in Jesus Christ.
Christianity is not merely a religion, a set of traditions, or a list of moral rules. It is the good news that God has reconciled sinners to Himself through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son.
We Believe the Bible Is God’s Word
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and trustworthy Word of God.
It is our final authority for what we believe, how we worship, and how we live. Because God’s Word is true and sufficient, we are committed to faithfully teaching and preaching Scripture.
We Believe in One True God
There is one living and true God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God is holy, sovereign, loving, just, and worthy of all worship and praise.
We Believe Jesus Christ Is the Only Savior
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.
He lived a perfect life, died on the cross for sinners, and rose bodily from the dead. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He accomplished everything necessary for the salvation of His people.
Salvation is found in Christ alone.
We Believe Salvation Is by Grace Alone
No one can earn God’s favor through good works, religious activity, or personal effort.
We are saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
Because salvation belongs to the Lord, all glory belongs to Him.
We Believe God Changes Lives
The gospel does more than forgive sin—it transforms people.
Through the work of the Holy Spirit, believers grow in faith, holiness, and obedience as they follow Christ.
The Christian life is a lifelong journey of growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We Believe the Church Matters
God calls His people to gather together for worship, fellowship, prayer, discipleship, and the preaching of His Word.
The local church is where believers are encouraged, equipped, and strengthened to live faithfully for Christ.
Our Reformed Heritage
Cornerstone Presbyterian Church stands within the historic Reformed and Presbyterian tradition.
This means we believe God’s Word is our final authority, salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, and God’s glory is the ultimate purpose of all things.
We joyfully embrace the historic Christian faith recovered during the Protestant Reformation and summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.

Why We Use the Westminster Confession of Faith
Many people today are looking for a church that clearly knows what it believes and teaches.
At Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, we believe that God’s truth does not change. For that reason, we gladly stand within the historic Christian faith that has been faithfully passed down through the centuries.
The Westminster Confession of Faith is one of the most respected summaries of biblical teaching ever written. Produced by a gathering of pastors and theologians in the 1600s, it carefully explains what the Bible teaches about God, salvation, the church, worship, and the Christian life.
We do not believe the Confession replaces the Bible. Rather, it helps us clearly communicate what we believe, remain accountable to Scripture, and preserve biblical truth for future generations.
For over 370 years, Christians around the world have used the Westminster Confession as a faithful summary of the teachings of God’s Word.
If you have questions about what we believe, we’d be glad to speak with you.
